VISIT FROM IRELAND
This week the second graders have enjoyed learning about Ireland. On Tuesday we had Mrs. Connor come and speak to us on life in Ireland, she showed us home movies and she had lots of pictures for us to pass around. On Wednesday the Irish Dancers from school came to visit us. All of the students were amazed at how well these young children could dance. Thursday was especially fun, the class got to go into the cafeteria and make their own lunches, Irish stew. We also enjoyed cookies and candies from Ireland. The week came to an end with a field trip to the Gene Leahy Mall where we were able to watch the Saint Patrick's day parade. It was a very informative and fun week. Don't be to surprised if your children ask to go to Ireland on your next vacation.
Our class along with Mrs. Baumert's class has been preparing our annual play. It will be held on April 2, 2000 at 7p.m in the social hall. A list of costumes will be coming home in the next week. I really hope that you will be able to join us. The students have been working very hard on this play.
